Elephant Gin releases limited edition African Explorer gin

In celebration of their ten year anniversary, Elephant Gin is releasing a limited edition gin that focuses on the brands key values and values: exploration; African botanicals; elephant conservation and G&T sundowners.

Named the African Explorer, the new limited-edition gin uses freshly sourced aromatic buchu leaves from South Africa, as well as monodora (African nutmeg), white ginger from Cameroon, Sumbala seeds from Burkina Faso, the savannah’s Baobab and Lion’s Tail. The expression is bottled at 40% ABV.

Following on from its recent B Corp certification, the eco glass bottle is 15% lighter, saving 60 tons worth of CO2 plus the use of 65% recycled glass. Each bottle is topped with a traditional cork stopper, decorated with a gold embossed label, laced with illustrations. Its adorned by traditional glass Maasai beads handmade by Massai tribal women in Kenya.

15% of bottle profits will be donated to the African Wildlife Foundation, a charitable practise that has become so synonymous for the company founded by Tessa and Robin Gerlach.

The gin is available from Craft Gin Club and Elephant Gin’s website at an RRP of £45.
