With US National Cocktail Day fast approaching (24 March), Ryan Reynolds’ Aviation Gin has provided the details of two delicious and inventive cocktails which can be made at home to celebrate the occasion.
The first, The Aviation Recipe, is a tried and tested classic from the brand, while Tom Collins is a timely springtime favourite, not only to be enjoyed for National Cocktail Day but for the Easter festivities ahead, too.
Below are the recipes of both cocktails, which go perfectly with with Aviation’s trademark gin.
The Aviation Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Aviation American Gin
- 0.5 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
- 1 tsp Crème De Violette
Method:
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into a Coupe glass with ice. Garnish with brandied Cherry.
Tom Collins
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Aviation American Gin
- 1 oz Freshly pressed lemon juice
- 3/4 oz Simple syrup
- 2 oz Soda water
Method:
In a pint glass, add spirits & mixers (through simple syrup). Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Fine strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top with Soda water. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
