South African gin brand Amarula and mixologist Alex Akanbi have collaborated on two new cocktail recipes: Amarula African Gin Martini and Amarula Twisted Espresso. Both cocktails are said to embody the spirit and essence of Africa, while perfect for sipping on this summer and enjoyed at garden parties.
This week’s Cocktail of the Week is showcasing Amarula African Gin Martini. See below for the ingredients and method.
Amarula African Gin Martini
- 50ml Amarula African Gin
- 15ml Japanese Sake
- 10ml King’s ginger liqueur
- One Fresh lemon twist
Add six to eight ice cubes to a mixing glass. Pour the Amarula African Gin. Stir gently for one minute. Add the Japanese sake and King’s ginger liqueur and continue to stir. Once ice has melted, single strain into coupe and squeeze the skin of a fresh lemon twist. Drop twist in coupe and serve.
