Cornwall’s first plough-to-bottle distillery, Colwith Farm Distillery, has introduced a new limited edition Distiller’s Cut Gin.
The gin has been created using class one premium Maris Piper potatoes, grown overlooking the Fowey River only three miles from the distillery, with mineral water sourced on the farm.
The producers have described the expression as a juniper forward dry gin with citrus notes and exotic spices on the palate.
HRH Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh-filled and hand sealed a bottle of the new gin during Colwith’s very first Royal Visit last month to coincide with the distillery’s five year anniversary.

Colwith Farm Distillery founder Steve Dustow commented: “Our exciting new Distiller’s Cut Gin is a culmination of everything we’ve learnt about distillation since starting our incredible plough to bottle journey in 2018. Every drop of knowledge gathered over 20,000 hours of distilling is present within this bottle. Be it selecting the perfect potato for the base spirit, cooking, fermenting, and distilling in optimal conditions, sourcing the world’s finest botanicals, and marrying an array of distilling techniques.”
Bottled at 50% ABV, the new single batch limited edition gin is now available at the distillery’s online store at an RRP of £45. A special gift pack, which includes not only the gin but a branded Dartington Copa Gin glass, is also available at £70.
