New French organic gin Anaë joins Mentzendorff spirits portfolio

Mentzendorff has announced the UK debut of French organic gin Anaë, the first gin added to its spirits portfolio.

Anaë launched in 2021 and is an organic gin firmly rooted in the terroirs of France as it is wine based and made from 100% French organic grapes, combined with 100% organic certified ingredients all produced in different regions of France.

Its original recipe is said to be marked by intense freshness, subtle balance and floral notes with a delicate hint of citrus and spice, using seven carefully selected organic botanicals sourced from responsible producers.

Creator Pauline Raffatin commented: “We are very proud of Anaë which was born from the desire to produce a gin that reflects the best of French authenticity and savoir-faire. We are committed to producing an exceptional organic gin, that respects the terroir, biodiversity and the community and to continue to innovate in the most responsible way possible. Anaë has partnered with beekeepers on the Atlantic coast, to create new hives and thus protect these endangered species as without them our gin could quite simply not be made.”

Anaë was part of an intrapreneurial project combining the knowledge and expertise of companies within the Bollinger group.

Mentzendorff’s brand manager for new world and spirits Ciara Wong added: “We’re extremely excited to be adding another Group Bollinger brand to the Mentzendorff portfolio. Unlike the vast majority of gins, Anaë stands out because it is a wine-based organic gin. Anaë can be enjoyed on its own over ice, as a long drink with a premium mixer or it works equally well in a classic cocktail or in original creations and pairings.”

Anaë will be available from various prestige on-trade, independent and online specialists at an RSP of £43.
