Glendalough Distillery, and its parent company Mark Anthony Brands International, has announced the international launch of an elegant new bottle design for Glendalough Irish Gin.
The new bottle design features Glendalough’s monastery founder St. Kevin standing as a strong guardian.
The distillery’s forager, Geraldine Kavanagh, handpicks each fresh and wild botanical used to create the expressions. Kavanagh’s considered approach is preserved on the new bottle design, which includes an embossed woven pattern sitting at the base, representing the handwoven basket she uses in her forages.
The design is also said to pay homage to the ancient valley of Glendalough. It was created in collaboration with Here Design.
Launched internationally, the redesign of Glendalough’s Wild Botanical Irish Gin and Wild Rose Irish Gin expressions are available to purchase at retailers globally and at Glendalough’s Irish gin website.
Speaking on the new look for the Irish gin, vice president of spirits at Mark Anthony Brands, Enda O’Sullivan, commented: “It is with great pleasure we introduce our elegant new bottle design for Glendalough Irish Gin to the world stage. At Glendalough Distillery, we are passionate about crafting liquids with a profound sense of place, and we aim to capture the purest expression of Glendalough in our luxury Irish gins.
“We have created a bottle which tells the story of Glendalough Irish Gin and the Irish landscape it is born of so now, not only will the depth of flavour in our gins transport you to the wild beauty of the Wicklow, but our new elegant new bottle will too. We are telling the proud story of this land and its people through this new bottle and showcasing it to the world.”
