Silent Pool to commemorate landmark moment with Coronation Gin

Silent Pool has unveiled Coronation Gin, a limited-edition commemorative bottling to celebrate the anticipated coronation of King Charles III.

The expression has been crafted using a new recipe from the brand, using infusions of King Charles’ favourite Surrey botanicals, plants and flowers.

Rose petals, lavender and chamomile are used to create elegant floral notes, with plum and raspberry leaves infusing the gin to leave lingering fruity notes, according to the producer.

Also included is Earl Grey tea and hawthorn berries, used to deepen the palette of this creation.

The bottle design uses the distinctive blue tint which has been used so often and so effectively throughout various Silent Pool expressions.

Silent Pool have had a busy beginning to 2023, with the announcement of their Black Juniper gin occurring just last week.

The brand’s marketing director spoke highly on the upcoming release: “…It was also important to us that we could incorporate Bhutanese culture into each step of Silent Pool Black Juniper Gin’s production, and we are excited to see the reaction to this truly remarkable spirit from Silent Pool Distillers, and where it may lead us to as an independent gin distillery.”

The Coronation Gin is available to pre-order from Silent Pool for delivery commencing 3 April and is available now exclusively in stores at Waitrose at an RRP of £45.
