To celebrate a decade of distilling in 2023, Mason of Yorkshire is debuting its most adventurous gin yet – Fruits of the Tropics Gin.
Creator of Masons Original Gin, distiller Gerard Macluskey came on board to help bring the desired flavours to fruition, working alongside the current lead distiller Rory Payne.
10 years in the making, the final liquid is said to take you away to sun-drenched beaches, cool summer breezes and palm trees blowing in the wind.
A London Dry gin, the producers have described the expression as having aromas of banana, while having notes of mango and crisp pineapple on the palate.

Masons founder Cathy Mason commented: “It has been our dream to bring some tropical flair to Yorkshire for a while and it has taken almost ten years and hundreds of recipe iterations and attempts to distill these incredible fruits to perfection. We were delighted that one of our original collaborators Gerard Macluskey, industry expert and master distiller, came on board to help us bring this to life. We’ve finally cracked it and the resulting gin is delicious and perfect for celebrations and is the essence of long summer days. We know our customers love to mix cocktails at home and we’ve created some vibrant serves so that budding mixologists can replicate at home. What better way to celebrate ten years in the business with a tasty G&T in the sun?”
Bottled at 38% ABV, the expression is available to purchase online at an RRP of £32.90 for a 70cl bottle.
Masons of Yorkshire visitors centre is now open to the public for both distillery tours and cocktail evenings. More information can be found on the Masons website.
