Gin brand Beefeater has partnered with East-London based artist Lakwena to launch a limited-edition bottle, inspired by modern-day London’s cultural fabric.
The bottle design for Beefeater’s The Spirit of London expression (a London dry gin bottled at 40%) is certain to stand out on shelves given its eye-catching colour scheme.
Artist Lakwena has made a name for herself transforming cityscapes using her vibrant colour palette, and here she’s used these same colours to design Beefeater’s new label design. The design is said to be a love-letter to the modern spirit of London and will undoubtedly resonate with city lovers.
Lakwena commented on the collaboration: “London is my home – it’s such a dynamic and eclectic city, which is what makes it so unique. The energy of its people is what I believe makes up the true Spirit of London. Partnering with Beefeater to create the limited-edition bottle allowed me to tell a story of the capital which looks beyond the grey of concrete and weather; we’re putting a spotlight on the moments of optimism and verve, to truly reflect the bold culture that makes our home so globally renowned.”
As part of Lakwena’s partnership with Beefeater, she has created three affirmations which are said to reflect the spirit of London. These include: We Mix and Blend, celebrating London’s mix of cultures, sights, sounds and tastes; We Work and Play, highlighting London’s opportunities to pursue dreams; We Move and Shake, emphasising the city’s constantly evolving nature.
The new bottle is available to purchase here, priced at £18.49, including two free gin goblets. Stock is also available at major retailers, including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and ASDA.
