Nose
Candied pineapple aromas that remind me of pineapple chunks (the sweets), as well as some of the acidity of tinned pineapple.

Palate
Sweet to start, with indulgent notes of clotted cream and then the fruitiness of pineapple juicy. There is a sweetness to it throughout, but it’s reasonably well balanced.

Finish
On the finish some of the base botanicals come through more, notably an earthy dryness.

Comments
A sweet, fruity gin that would make a fine Gin Colada (gin variation of a Pina Colada).

7.4

Nose
Fresh pineapple flesh and juice, plus a touch of syrup from tinned pineapple rings. There’s a hint of leafy savouriness and some subtle piney and spice notes, too.

Palate
The tropical flavour is still strong and gently sweet, married with a light backbone of juniper and a little more leafiness.

Finish
A honeyed sweetness to finish with more tropical notes playing out.

Comments
Great signature flavour with a nicely balanced sweetness. It could make a nice twist on a Daiquiri.

Score

8.0
