Nose
Sweet, jammy notes on the nose of elderflower jelly, with the juiciness of freshly cut apples.

Palate
A rich sweetness up-front with luxurious spice of vanilla and cinnamon followed by baked apple, elderflower, and an elderberry fruitiness.

Finish
A floral finish of elderberry and rose Turkish delight.

Comments
A sweet and fruity gin that is almost liqueur-like; it would be excellent in an Elderflower Collins.

Score

8.1

Nose
Light straw colour. Pungent notes of elderflower, like a strongly flavoured cordial. There are tart hints of gooseberry and green apple in there, too. A little dried mango.

Palate
Slightly syrupy on the palate. Elderflower notes – the floral blooms and a summery jelly – with hints of white grape and chamomile tea.

Finish
Slightly drying, with departing notes of elderflower and meadowsweet.

Comments
This took me on an interesting journey, skirting the edges of liqueur territory.

Score

7.9
