Tulcan Gin, a new super-premium gin from Scotland, is rolling out to gin lovers around the world this month.
The gin takes its name from the Tulcan Estate, in the whisky heartland of Speyside, where it is distilled. Its flavours are inspired by the landscape of the estate, on the banks of the River Spey.
The small-batch London dry gin is distilled with botanicals including sloe berries, elderflower and blackberry leaves, which are found on the Tulcan Estate, as well as asparagus (an unusual but not unheard-of botanical).
Tulcan Gin’s Scottish heritage is proudly displayed on its bottle. Made from embossed blue glass it features a tartan print on the side and a thistle stamp on the wooden cork stopper. The bottle label also includes an illustration of the Grouse Piper, the Tulcan Estate mascot.
Initially the gin will be available in the UK and US before launching in Latin America, the Caribbean, Panama, Australia and Canada later in 2022. Next year, it is set to make its way to Spain, Kenya, South Africa and New Zealand.
Tulcan Gin is part of the Stoli Group portfolio of spirits brands. The group’s global brand lead for gin, Kara Anderson, said: “We are delighted to launch our first gin expression from Tulcan Estate to trade and consumers. Being distilled in Speyside, in the heart of whisky country, we are looking forward to introducing Tulchan Gin to whisky drinkers as well as gin lovers throughout the world.”
Tulcan Gin was among the exhibitors at this year’s Gin Live London, a premier tasting experience in the heart of the city.
