Italian gin brand Ginato has announced a partnership with Italian chef and TV personality Gino D’Acampo.
Ginato gin is produced with a blend of grain and Pinot Grigio grape spirits, along with juniper from Tuscany and citrus fruits from southern Italy. The range (all 43% ABV) includes Ginato Melograno (pomegranate), Ginato Clementino (clementine), and Ginato Pomelo (pink grapefruit).
As Ginato’s maestro del gusto (master of flavour), D’Acampo will be creating Italian food recipes and pairing them with Ginato cocktails. He will also work with the team on the development of new Ginato Gin expressions and releases.
Born and raised in Naples, D’Acampo inherited his love of cooking from his grandfather. After honing his culinary skills in Italy, he moved to London. His wit and talent have made him a winning TV personality, and he now presents and participates in shows including This Morning and Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip. He also owns and operates several restaurants across England.
On his partnership with Ginato, D’Acampo said: “My homeland has always shaped not only the way I cook but also what I eat and drink. Italians have a passion for great quality produce, and this is everything that Ginato embodies. It is important for me to work with brands that are authentic and complement my style of food.
“Ginato Gin is an interesting concept, especially with the addition of the Pinot Grigio grape. This innovation as well as the superb taste is what attracted me to working with the brand.”
The Ginato range was developed and is distributed by Kirker Greer Spirits. Steven Pattison, CEO of Drinksology Kirker Greer, said: “The Ginato range encapsulates a true Italian spirit and without a doubt, Gino D’Acampo is the perfect fit for the brand.
“Having the calibre of Gino D’Acampo join us at Ginato, with his expert knowledge of Italian flavour and ingredients, it is a really exciting time for the development of the brand. We can’t wait to share his great enthusiasm for Ginato Gin and his love of everything Italian with consumers across the UK in the coming months and years ahead.”
Ginato Italian Gin is available in more than 20 countries including UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, South Africa and Singapore. It is also available online from retailers including Master of Malt, The Whisky Exchange and Ocado.
