Nose
Delicate aromas of jasmine green tea and yerba mate, alongside vanilla and sage.
Palate
A balanced, botanically driven sweetness brightens green, leafy notes and those of dusky cocoa powder. More confectionary notes, akin to rose jelly, follow.
Finish
A clean finish of sage before a final array of juniper and pine flavours.
Comments
A lovely example of a slightly herbal, botanically sweetened Old Tom gin; it would be delightful in a Sweet Martini.
Score
8.7

Nose
Banana bread, fresh from the oven. Hints of hazelnuts and orange blossom honey on soft white bread, with a touch of marzipan.
Palate
The sweetness is dialled up with honey, marmalade and candied walnuts. Juniper is present, too, with a soft baking-spice backbone.
Finish
The honeyed sweetness vanishes to leave drying notes of cedar, orange peel and juniper.
Comments
A really nicely flavoured, slightly fiery Old Tom that would be lovely served in an ice-cold highball with ginger ale.
