Nose
Floral with hints of hay, which is combined with a sweetness that moves to aromas of honeycomb and citrusy orange.

Palate
Initial oily citrus flavours develop into resinous notes of juniper and the spicy citrus of coriander. Over time, it moves to warmer notes of candied orange peel.

Finish
Lingering notes of pepper combined with the bittersweet tang of orange marmalade.

Comments
A citrus-forward gin with a good level of spice, which would be great in a Gin Old-Fashioned.

Score

7.7

Nose
Deliciously light. Zesty lemon peel, herbal lemon thyme and juniper, all washed over by a salty sea breeze.

Palate
Smooth and clean with a really plump texture. Resinous juniper and lemon peel upfront, with continuing salinity and herbaceous notes.

Finish
Lemony pine notes and a mellow dusting of coriander, nutmeg and angelica see this out.

Comments
This was exquisite – excellent flavour balance, intensity and texture. Now, can someone please make me a Martini with it?!

Score

9.4
