Nose
Fragrant coriander seed notes that are citrusy, but also spicy. These are accompanied by a slightly sweet herbal aroma of rosemary.

Palate
Soft in texture at first, with a gradually building oiliness. The coriander seed notes continue, joined by the leafiness of cilantro.

Finish
A little anise sweetness, along with oily mint, citrus, and lingering coriander.

Comments
Oily, spicy, and citrus-forward are the three words that define this gin; as such, I’d like to try it with ginger ale in a Gin Buck.

Score

7.7

Nose
Sweet, slightly doughy notes, like old-fashioned bakers’ iced finger buns. Crisp lemon and juniper, and a waft of fresh herbal notes.

Palate
That sensation of iced buns continues with more traditional botanical notes: juniper, lemon and coriander, with a little sweet cinnamon.

Finish
Leaves a clean, piney-citrus freshness.

Comments
I enjoyed the balance of flavours in this. The grainy character makes me think it would work well swapped into a whisk(e)y cocktail.

Score

8.2
