Queen Elizabeth II celebrates 70 years on the throne this weekend – quite the achievement, we’re sure you’ll agree! To help you celebrate in appropriate style, we have a selection of gins and limited editions released by English distilleries to commemorate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

Whitley Neill Platinum Jubilee Gin
Whitley Neill – which is made at the only distillery in London’s Square Mile – has given a patriotic makeover to its London Dry Gin. The bottle has been wrapped in a metallic-effect sleeve adorned with Union Flags. The Whitley Neill Jubilee Gin is available from £26 at The Drop Store, Harvey Nichols and at major supermarkets.

Shakespeare Distillery Jubilee Gin
Shakespeare Distillery in Stratford-upon-Avon has crafted a new dry gin to mark the Jubilee. Taking inspiration from a summer garden, the Jubilee Gin features hibiscus, lemon verbena and thyme alongside traditional botanicals. After being distilled, the gin is steeped in butterfly pea flowers to give it its vibrant blue hue (which will turn violet when mixed with tonic water). It is available online at shakespearedistillery.com.

Adnams Distiller’s Choice Platinum Jubilee Gin
Adnams is releasing a limited-edition, barrel-rested gin to celebrate the Jubilee. For this special edition, the Suffolk distillery rested some of its First Rate Gin in an American oak barrel before bottling at 57.15% ABV. The cask yielded just 300 bottles of gin, which Adnams says has more complexity and richness than the original First Rate. The Distiller’s Choice Platinum Jubilee Gin will be available at adnams.co.uk and in Adnams stores.

Cotswolds Platinum Jubilee Gin
The Cotswolds Distillery’s Platinum Jubilee Gin is inspired by classic English summer desserts and includes strawberry, raspberry and pink peppercorns. The dark glass bottle is adorned with a label coloured in purple – a traditional colour of the monarchy – and silver. It is available to purchase from Majestic Wine, with a recommended price of £34.95 per bottle.

Silent Pool Platinum Celebration Gin
Surrey’s Silent Pool Distillers is releasing a bespoke “platinum” edition of its flagship gin. In the first-ever redesign of its bottle, Silent Pool has replaced its trademark intricate copper pattern with platinum detailing. Only 5,000 bottles of the platinum edition will be released, retailing at £45.

Stirling Distillery Platinum Gin
Scotland’s Stirling Distillery has given the bottle for its signature nettle gin a Jubilee makeover. Created by graphic designer Megan Raine and distillery co-founder June McCann, the bottle celebrates the gin’s signature botanical and includes a regal laurel wreath design. The 500 special-edition bottles have also been crowned with a hand-dipped platinum wax seal. Stirling Platinum Gin is available from stirlingdistillery.com.

Keepr’s Classic London Dry Gin Jubilee Edition
Honey-infused spirit maker Keepr’s has created a limited-edition bottle to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee. Just 840 bottles – the number of months that the Queen has reigned – are available to UK retailers. The bottle contains Keepr’s premium Classic London Dry Gin, infused with honey from apiaries in Windsor Great Park.

Wessex Platinum Jubilee Edition
Wessex Distillery is paying homage to Her Majesty with its limited Platinum Jubilee Edition gin. It’s a limited-edition distillation, pairing Wessex’s London Dry Gin with white grapefruit and floral notes. The glass bottle design is also a limited edition: it has been wrapped in silver, and the regal purple label features the Queen’s Jubilee emblem embossed in silver foil. The gin is available from wessexdistillery.com.
