Aviation American Gin is stepping up preparations to open its new distillery and visitor centre in Oregon.
The contemporary gin brand has appointed industry veteran Hollie Stephenson as distillery director of the new Aviation Gin Distillery and visitor centre, which is set to open its doors to the public later this year.
Located in Aviation’s hometown of Portland, the new distillery will include an interactive tasting room and will offer tours, gin tastings, and cocktail flights.
Hollie has previously worked in both drinks production and visitor experience roles. Most recently she was head brewer at Guinness, helping to build the beer brand’s footprint in North America.
As Aviation Gin’s distillery director, she will oversee the distilling and bottling operations, as well as the visitor centre and tasting room.
On her new role, Hollie said: “When I was presented with the opportunity to help build the new home for this iconic Portland gin, I couldn’t have been more excited. It has taken the hard work of so many over the past couple of years to bring this to life, and I can’t wait to open the doors and welcome in our neighbors as well as visitors to the city.”
Andrew T. Chrisomalis, CEO of Aviation American Gin’s owner, Davos Brands, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Hollie, an experienced industry veteran to the Aviation Gin family as we scale up our operations to continue to meet the demand from consumers all over the world for Aviation American Gin.”
