Aromas of morello cherry, almond, and biscotti. Fragrant and enticing.
Notes of concord grape are followed by plump and full flavours of cocktail cherries. A nuttiness that is combined with a sweetness, reminiscent of marzipan, and a tiny hint of chilli on the very tip of the tongue.
The botanical notes continue onto the finish, but are relatively dialled down.
An interesting product with some good qualities, but the sweetness is out of balance and slightly hollow.
Definite cherry notes, but also a freshness of orchard fruits – apple and pear. The greenness of elderflower growing in a verdant hedgerow.
Sweetness of cherries macerated in icing sugar on top of a pillowy pavlova, with a much more floral elderflower note.
Leaves a sugary, sherbet feeling on the tongue, along with a slightly acidic note of apple juice.
I struggled to get a handle on this one. It certainly has a bold character and would stand up well to mixing.
