Nose
A gentle, relaxed nose of juniper and sweet earthiness.

Palate
Sipping the gin neat, my immediate observation is that the texture is so very full: rich and silky. On the palate, juniper is joined by the earthy, floral notes of orris and liquorice, as well as woody angelica.

Finish
The finish has a touch of pepper and a final piney sweetness.

Comments
A straight-forward gin, but one that would be superb sipped straight from the freezer or in a diamond or Duke’s style Martini.

Score

8.2

Nose
Oily citrus and juniper notes, coriander, and hints of florals and peppered cucumber. Slight menthol note, too.

Palate
The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly oily. Juniper, lemon and grapefruit peel, with pleasant sweetness, a touch of florals, like lavender, and musky angelica.

Finish
Lengthy, drying finish with peppery spice, piney juniper and menthol freshness.

Comments
A well-made gin with nice classic hallmarks. With its floral and citrus accents, it could make a tasty Aviation.

Score

8.6
