Nose
A lovely shade of violet-rose, with aromas of hibiscus, coconut, and liquorice root.
Palate
The floral jamminess of the hibiscus comes through first, followed by lemon peel and a sweet earthiness from liquorice root. The slight sharpness of the pomegranate is present, but a little more laid back.
Finish
Juniper notes, along with some spice and earthiness, and floral pink pepper.
Comments
A fun and fruity gin that has a light floral character. It would be great in a French 75.
Score
7.9

Nose
Sweet strawberry coulis drizzled on a cheesecake. Bright, floral hibiscus with a touch of angelica.
Palate
The sweetness subsides to reveal a more classic gin palate, with zingy citrus and a touch of spice. Hibiscus and slightly tart pomegranate are still present, though, with a touch of rosewater.
Finish
Nicely drying and not too sweet, with a little woody pine and cinnamon taking over.
Comments
The fruity and floral flavours in this gin were well-balanced. I’d like it in a sweeter serve, perhaps with a red fruit element.
