Nose
Candied angelica, earthy orris, and light floral notes, along with a little sherberty citrus.

Palate
A lighter style of gin – gentle and sippable – with a fine complexity: citrus notes of lemon and lime are joined by delicate juniper, followed by oily coriander and a sweet lift of liquorice.

Finish
Slightly creamy, with notes of juniper and earthy liquorice.

Comments
A well-made, straight-forward gin that tiptoes around the Classic and Contemporary boundary; would work well in a gin and tonic.

Score

7.7

Nose
A touch of fresh coastal salinity, like samphire. A little aniseed note of fennel and dill, with pine and musky angelica underneath.

Palate
Nice slippery texture with a faint
note of the sea, but overall a more classic botanical character than the nose.

Finish
Oily notes of citrus and juniper see this out, with an underpinning warmth.

Comments
The contemporary accents in this gin were pleasant and would match nicely with Indian tonic water and a wedge of lemon.

Score

8.0
