Nose
Vivid notes of sloe berries and plum on the nose, joined by a little cinnamon, cassia, and vanilla.

Palate
Sappy juniper pine and cedar upfront, followed by spicy coriander, creamy vanilla, and then jammy and nutty almond notes reminiscent of sloe berries. Complex, with a rich texture and balanced sweetness.

Finish
Perfumed pine blossom, with slightly tannic notes of tea.

Comments
An excellent expression of a sloe gin; the barrel adds complexity and a pleasant dryness – superb!

9.6

Nose
Big and spicy: black pepper, turmeric, coriander, and allspice, with buttery orange and chocolate chip cookies, all surrounded by toasted, sugary oak notes.

Palate
Still a strong presence of spice, with the leaves and juice of limes, then a little creamy sweetness of orange chocolate.

Finish
Nutty sesame oil and a little charred woodiness. Resinous juniper notes burst in at the very end.

Comments
An incredibly complex and bold gin that deserves to be explored on its own over ice.

9.0
