Nose
Honeyed butterscotch with rich aromas of toffee and wood. An echo of pine.

Palate
Complex and, with the oily texture, almost chewy. There’s lots going on: resinous pine; zesty citrus; spicy coriander; and fragrant, floral notes. The alcohol is well-integrated and carries the complexity nicely.

Finish
Relatively short with notes of violet and berries, before an oaky, vanilla woodiness.

Comments
What it lacks in balance, this gin makes up for in complexity. It would make a fantastic Martinez.

Score

7.9

Nose
Savoury and creamy notes combine in sour cream and chive chips. Then, hints of resinous juniper, barbequed pineapple, oily orange peel and very ripe strawberries.

Palate
Classic oaky notes of vanilla and caramel, with hints of fruit and sour cream, like fromage frais, then juniper and angelica.

Finish
Drying, with piney notes alongside oak tannins, nut brittle and a little heat.

Comments
The profile of this gin paired nicely with the wood influence. A solid partner for ginger beer, or root beer.

Score

7.9
