Nose
A gentle, green seediness with a little woody bark and then fresh, green resinous and citrus aromas.

Palate
The palate starts with spicy citrus that quickly morphs into earthy, rooty notes of angelica, which add dryness, and then some orris, which adds the sweetness of crystallised violets.

Finish
A hint of bitter orange, more earthiness, and a lingering, resinous pineiness.

Comments
A fragrant gin and, given its rooty, floral aspects, I’d love to try it in an Aviation.

Score

7.9

Nose
Bloody Mary! Tomato juice, spicy Worcestershire sauce, celery, salt and pepper. Then a sweetness like stewed plums emerges.

Palate
Ginger and aniseed spice notes emerge alongside vegetal sweetness and bolder juniper. A flash of Worcestershire sauce.

Finish
A nice spicy warmth as it fades with ginger, lemon, piney juniper, and a touch of angelica.

Comments
A pleasant gin with an interesting evolution of flavours. I’d stay true to the nose and serve it in a Red Snapper.

Score

8.3
