Nose
A medley of rich orange notes, with satsuma and the more floral notes of mandarin and clementine.

Palate
The initial taste of clementine flesh is multilayered, with even a hint of the white pith; I can practically picture segments sitting in the glass. There is warmth from the alcohol as the wider gin botanicals such as juniper and angelica appear.

Finish
Lingering citrus and a clean, spirituous finish.

Comments
I really like the clementine flavour, but would like more of the background botanicals to shine through.

Score

7.4

Nose
Clementine notes hit straight away, like segments sitting at the bottom of one of my mum’s trifles. Hints of more classic botanicals underneath, with milk chocolate.

Palate
Refreshing clementine character, like fresh juice. There’s an undercurrent of classic botanicals and earthy spice.

Finish
Bright juniper, marrying with crisp orange notes.

Comments
A well-balanced flavoured gin. I’d love this in a sparkling wine cocktail (pepping up an Aperol Spritz), or lengthened with soda water.

Score

8.6
