Celebrity chef James Martin has launched his own London dry gin.
The gin, which bears the chef and TV personality’s name, was designed as a full-bodied spirit “that packs a punch”. Slowly distilled in small batches, it contains a mix of 11 classic botanicals and is made without artificial colours or flavourings.
It comes presented in apothecary-style bottles with wooden stoppers, at a strength of 44% ABV.
Martin – who has presented cooking programmes including James Martins’ Home Comforts and, more recently, James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV – is the latest British chef to enter the gin market in 2021.
Marco Pierre White launched his Mr White’s Gin in the summer, while Michelin-starred chef and fellow TV presenter Gordon Ramsay has partnered with Scottish distillery Eden Mill to launch the Six Rivers gin range.
James Martin’s London Dry Gin is available at jamesmartinsgin.com, priced from £32.95 per 500ml bottle.
