Nose
Gentle, nutty coffee aromas highlighted by savoury spice and pine.
Palate
There is lots of resinous and oily juniper and pine, followed by spruce and leafiness and a dash of gentian bitterness. There is also a little sweet tea spice.
Finish
A gradually building note of menthol pepper, combined with a capsicum-esque heat and some oiliness.
Comments
With its herbal pepper notes and great levels of intensity, this is a fantastic choice to be used in a Negroni.
Score
7.7

Nose
Crisp and fresh. Sweet mint, tangy lime citrus, savoury spices and assertive juniper.
Palate
It’s very zesty but also creamy, like a citrus cheesecake, with a good juniper-herbal-spice background.
Finish
Herbal stalky hints of fennel and mint, with a touch of dark chocolate as well as pine.
Comments
A well-presented gin that would sit comfortably with ginger ale in a Gin Mule with plenty of lime and fresh mint.
