Nose
Fruity raisin on the nose with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cassia. Very Christmassy, with a hint of black tea.

Palate
A lovely balance between sweet Christmas spice and the more classic gin botanicals of juniper and citrus. There is sweetness to it, but it is balanced and botanically led.

Finish
A clean, crisp finish of juniper and angelica, with just a peek of spice.

Comments
A lovely spice-forward gin that would be great in a festive gin and tonic or an Old Fashioned.

Score

9.1

Nose
It reminds me of chicken stock: rich and slightly fatty with celery, onions and black pepper. Followed by juniper and lemon zest.

Palate
Light and velvety, with sherbet lemon citrus, more spicy pepper and coriander, fresh juniper and dusky angelica.

Finish
Earthy spices and juniper see out the medium-length finish. There’s a very slight savoury note at the end.

Comments
An intersting gin with a nice balance of flavours that seems like it would sit well in a Gibson.

Score

8.6
