David T. Smith

Nose
Elegant, with aromas of liquorice
and the soft florals of chamomile
and meadowsweet.

Palate
Luxurious and silky in texture, with a splash of sweetness. Candied angelica along with fresh notes of spearmint – this is leafy and crisp.

Finish
Sweet pepper on the finish, along with more herbal menthol notes.

Comments
A refreshing gin that would work well when used in a Gin Julep or Basil Smash.

Score

8.3

Nose
A slightly meaty note like Serrano ham, with lavender, ripe peach and apricot. Creaminess mingles with baking spices and aniseed hints, like a spiced crème brûlée.

Palate
Leafy herbs, plant stems and a touch of grape acidity, with oily juniper and citrus. Earthy liquorice and angelica roots. The texture is divine.

Finish
It fades slowly with a touch of strawberry sweetness and piney juniper.

Comments
An exciting little number that I’d like to sip in a Martini and get to know better.

Score

8.8
