Summer is not the only time to enjoy fabulously fruity gins – the autumn and winter offer up some great options of their own, from robust rhubarb and crisp apple to juicy blackberry. This week’s cocktail, from Whitley Neill, uses its Blackberry Gin to create a decadent and warming digestif that’s fit for royalty. If you want, you could use another similarly flavoured gin, such as Slingsby’s Blackberry Gin or this new blackcurrant expression from Adnams.
Queen’s High Tea
Ingredients
- 50ml Whitley Neill Blackberry Gin
- 25ml runny honey
- 25ml lemon juice
- 150ml apple juice
- Fresh blackberries, to garnish
Method
Heat the apple juice. Add the gin, honey and lemon juice and mix until combined. Pour into a glass teacup and serve with a sweet treat.
