English distiller Bullards Spirits is making a strong start to the festive season with the opening of three new London shops.

The Norfolk-based gin brand has announced the opening of a gin shop and tasting room at the Westfield shopping centre in Shepherds Bush, a small store in Canary Wharf, and a flagship store in Covent Garden. The latter is a joint venture with mixer maker Double Dutch and will include a ground-floor shop, and a tasting and mixology room.

At its bricks-and-mortar sites, visitors will be able to learn more about the history of Bullards and discover its range of gins in a “full sensory experience” led by brand ambassadors.

Joe Evans, Bullards business development manager, said: “We are really excited to add three further sites to our portfolio, all opening in London for 2021. Visitors will soon be able to experience our unique concept in East and Central London and West London.”

Raissa de Haas, who co-founded Double Dutch with her sister Joyce, added: “We are super excited to team up with Bullards as they expand their retail presence right across London. We’ve developed some really delicious, flavourful pairings that we can’t wait for visitors to try.”

The Bullards gin range now includes London Dry, Strawberry and Black Pepper, Old Tom and Coastal expressions. In a bid to help the environment, the company launched eco-friendly refill pouches in October 2020 and also offers a bottle refill scheme.
