There has been a definite chill of autumn in the air in the UK this week. With the falling leaves and and woolly jumpers comes another autumnal staple: pumpkins! This week’s cocktail, the Smashing Pumpkin from Slingsby, makes use of a pumpkin spice syrup – a popular addition to hot drinks at this time of year, it also makes a great cocktail ingredient. Here, it’s combined with sweet, warming marmalade flavours.
- 25ml Slingsby Marmalade Gin
- 25ml spiced rum
- 1 barspoon Slingsby Marmalade Preserve
- 15ml pumpkin spice syrup
- 15ml lemon juice
Shake the ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with ice and double strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with flamed cinnamon.
