Almost saffron orange in colour with aromas of orange zest, juniper wood, cedar and pine.
Lots of woodiness to start – sappy and resinous – with a honeyed sweetness. Light notes of orange citrus and pine blossom follow.
A long, lingering finish of gentle floral notes and freshly cracked black pepper.
I really like the flavour profile of this, although the colour was initially a bit startling! It would be lovely served directly from the freezer.
Candle wick and wax and a hint of confectionary orange. Some herbal notes, tinged by a slightly sour, burnt aroma.
Orange, liquorice root and juniper, with a big hit of cloves, allspice and fennel seed. A touch of sweet figs and dates.
Fades fairly quickly, with notes of juniper and clove-studded orange that give it a bit of a mulled wine feel.
Feels like a bit of a handful of a gin, but in a good way. Those orange and spice notes could lend it well to a Negroni.
