Nose
Almost rose gold in colour, fruity on the nose with some grape character and some vine flower.

Palate
An initial flash of plump fruitiness is followed by more typical, dry gin notes with a hint of menthol pepper. Elements of straw and chamomile also come along for the ride. A complex spirit.

Finish
More pepper, which reminds me of Tasmanian pepperberry, before concluding notes of vanilla oak.

Comments
A powerful gin with complexity; it would make a grand Sweet Martini.

Score

7.9

Nose
Bananas, oats and honey – like a flapjack. Candied pineapple, juniper, and a hint of coriander stalk there too.

Palate
Coriander spice, mandarin and pineapple sweetness, piney juniper and a touch of aniseed. Also a woody note, like oak. Lovely mouthfeel.

Finish
Caramelised pineapple notes with juniper and citrus.

Comments
The flavours and texture in this gin are divine. I’d try it in a Gin Old Fashioned, or a cocktail with a creamier texture.

Score

8.6
