Nose
Distinctly fruity on the nose: floral pear with jammy berries such as blackberry, raspberry, and a little stone fruit.

Palate
Lovely in texture with continued fruit notes and a balanced sweetness, along with green, leafy flavours and citrus peel.

Finish
A gentle, alcoholic warmth is joined by elderflower and lingering black pepper notes.

Comments
This has good intensity of flavour, especially given its ABV, and would work well in a Bramble.

Score

7.6

Nose
Sweet strawberry and grain notes mix to give the impression of strawberry shortcake. Orange citrus and juniper hints.

Palate
Very clean with a light, silky texture. The juniper is more prominent, with more sweet grain and berry notes and light touches of citrus and a hint of baking spice.

Finish
Slips away smoothly, leaving subtle but lingering pine and red fruit.

Comments
It packs a good flavour punch for the lower ABV. I’d try in a Mule with ginger ale.

Score

8.7
