Scottish gin brand Rock Rose has announced the launch of an Autumn Edition.
Produced by Dunnet Bay Distillers, the new gin is made with the traditional Rock Rose Gin botanicals including sea buckthorn and Rhodiola rosea, with the addition of locally harvested blackberries, raspberries and blaeberries (bilberries). All these ingredients are grown in Caithness, the area of Scotland’s far north coast that Rock Rose calls home.
The Autumn Edition Gin has a spicier flavour profile than its original cousin which come from nasturtium flowers, harvested from Dunnet Bay’s biome, and Vietnamese coriander, also grown at the distillery.
As with the other gins in the Rock Rose range, the Autumn Edition will be available in bottles or in fully recyclable refill pouches, which can be returned to the distillery when empty.
Dunnet Bay suggests using using nasturtium flowers as a garnish with the gin in a G&T (if you can’t get hold of any, fresh basil will suffice) or mixing it with its own blaeberry and basil-flavoured Liquid Garnish.
Rock Rose Autumn Edition Gin (41.5% ABV) is available at dunnetbaydistillers.co.uk priced £37.50 for a 70cl bottle or £30 for a recyclable pouch.
