While it’s not the first fruit-and-chocolate pairing that most would go for first, pear and chocolate is a classic combination and works as well in a pudding as it does in a cocktail. This special serve uses June Royal Pear & Cardamom, the latest gin liqueur from French brand G’Vine. Its juicy fruit and subtle spice flavours work a treat with the slight bitterness of chocolate.
June by G’Vine Dark and Pear
- 40ml June Royal Pear & Cardamom
- 20ml vodka
- 5ml lime juice
- 20ml egg white
- Chocolate, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a frozen coupette glass and grate chocolate (or use chocolate powder) over half the surface of the cocktail.
