Cocktail of the week: Aviation Gin’s Southside

Aviation American Gin Southside cocktail

When the weather is warm and sultry, you want a drink that will give you a big, refreshing kick – but without putting in big effort to make it. Please welcome the Southside, a foolproof combination of gin, citrus and mint. This version uses Aviation American Gin, whose contemporary flavour profile really shines through in this stripped-back serve.



  • 40ml Aviation American Gin​
  • 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice​
  • 15ml simple syrup​
  • 6 mint leaves​


In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves​. Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to the shaker, fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass​ and garnish with a mint sprig​.
