Nose
A soft, subtle, and quiet nose with delicate pine and sweet, earthy liquorice.

Palate
This is a very cleanly distilled spirit with a relatively light character of dry, woody angelica, sweet liquorice root, and a subtle, chocolatey flavour to it.

Finish
A notably dry finish with almost no alcohol warmth and just a hint of grapefruit.

Comments
A pure, clean spirit, but its mellow profile could easily be overpowered; I’d drink it in a deliciously dry Martini.

Score

7.6

Nose
A nice creaminess and spiciness, like vanilla custard spiked with grated nutmeg and cinnamon, with a woody note and citrus and pine freshness.

Palate
Juniper and lemon peel and a touch of floral sweetness. The creamy character is overtaken by aromatic and savoury spice, verging on peppery.

Finish
Drying, medium in length, with lingering juniper and peppery spice notes.

Comments
The good juniper backbone makes this a solid choice for a classic gin and tonic.

Score

7.7
