Nose
A powerful nose with aromas of spice, pepper, and salinity. There is also just a touch of rye bread, before notes of vanilla and citrus.

Palate
A piney, vegetal flavour profile with light, oily citrus and a slight minerality, alongside notes of pine needles mixed with a hint of grassiness.

Finish
Lingering green, resinous notes with black pepper and a slight alcohol warmth.

Comments
A gin with plenty of classic gin flavours that will mean that its character won’t be lost when used in some cocktails.

Score

7.2

Nose
A slightly green, syrupy-sugar note, almost like an Agricole rum. Then come baking spices, fresh juniper and lemon curd.

Palate
Very silky. More aromatic spices come forward, like toasted seeds freshly cracked with a pestle and mortar. The juniper is still light and fresh, as is the lemony citrus.

Finish
It’s very smooth on the way out with good length, with more gentle spice notes and a little lemon peel.

Comments
A smooth and pleasant little number that would sit well in a classic, spirit-driven cocktail.

Score

8.4
