Nose
Oily on the nose, full of sweet citrus, coriander seed, and green, leafy aromas, with a touch of berry.

Palate
A thick, rich texture, with the oiliness from the nose continuing. Botanically, the gin is intense, with plenty of pine notes combined with spicy coriander and both lemon and orange zest.

Finish
Black pepper and bright citrus that stay on the palate for minutes after sipping.

Comments
A flavoursome gin that would stand up well to mixers with strong characters; I’m keen to try it with bitter lemon.

Score

7.4

Nose
A definte menthol whack and sweetness like orange sherbet, combined with deeper cumin and coriander-like spice and a hint of coriander stalks. This one’s made me sit up in my chair.

Palate
Sweetness gives way to full-throated herbal notes – bay and thyme, tempered with crisp juniper and a touch of sweet orange.

Finish
It’s got staying power, drying a little as it fades, with pine and savoury herbal notes.

Comments
Lots to explore here. I’d love to combine those herbal notes with vermouth in a Martini.

Score

8.5
