Nose
A full-bodied nose with initial aromas of cocoa powder mixed with spearmint and coriander leaf.

Palate
Fresh, almost crunchy; it’s like a salad, full of luscious, green, vegetal notes that are by no means stewed. This is backed by well-rounded citrus and a gradual crescendo of juniper flavour.

Finish
Even more juniper, that goes beyond the berries and starts to bring in hints of juniper wood, too.

Comments
A rich, resinous gin with plenty to explore. This would be thoroughly at home in a Gin Old Fashioned.

Score

8.4

Nose
Black pepper, leafy parsley and coriander, butter richness and touches of vanilla custard and lemon curd. Like a salmon traybake with lashings of butter and herbs on top.

Palate
It’s buttery in texture and very herbal. Juniper appears with coriander spice and a little citrus freshness.

Finish
Warming and still very herbaceous, with pine notes and leafy, spicy coriander.

Comments
This intrigued me – lots going on and a lovely texture. I don’t think you’d need more than an ice cube with this!
