Nose
Fragrant rhubarb on the nose with a slight, vanilla-like sweetness and the floral citrus kiss of blood orange.

Palate
Quite thick in texture, with a notable sweetness, but this is needed to counteract the tartness of the fruits; it does this well.

Finish
The rhubarb lingers on the palate, along with a little cinnamon and clean acidity to it.

Comments
The sweetness is neatly balanced by the fruit, but I would have liked a bit more of the gin’s underlying character to have shined through.

Nose
Sweet, stewed rhubarb, like you’re getting it ready for a crumble. Juicy orange follows, accompanied by some touches of baking spice.

Palate
The rhubarb and orange notes are much stronger, becoming almost candy-sweet, but there is a touch of drying spice (cinnamon or ginger) which provides a little grounding.

Finish
Sweet, syrupy orange notes see out the short finish.

Comments
This could make a decent partner for lemonade, or an iced orange-flavoured fruit tea.

7.1
