A modest nose that gradually unfolds to reveal a classic mix of juniper, coriander, angelica, and citrus.
Lots of earthy, woody angelica to taste, accompanied by floral violet, warm orange, and coriander. Softer notes of liquorice and a pinch of chocolate follow.
A warm flow of the alcohol, but no real burn, is joined by residual flavours of woody pine.
A very classic gin that would be versatile for an array of traditional gin drinks.
It’s very shy at first. With time, some light notes of juniper and coriander make themselves known.
This is fairly quiet and simple in flavour, with more notes of juniper, slight spice, a touch of root/bark-like dryness and hints of florality underneath it.
It fades quite quickly with a little warmth and a final piney twinkle.
This has the basis of a nice gin, but could stand up to a little more botanical intensity. That said, it would make a solid G&T.
