Nose
Plump, fruity aromas: succulent grapes with anise, dark chocolate and citrus.

Palate
It has a thick, smooth texture with lots of gingerbread spice that supports the flavour profile and gives complexity to the fruitiness. There’s also a good, balanced sweetness to it.

Finish
The juniper strikes back on the finish, reminding you this is actually a gin.

Comments
A very sippable spirit with a lovely, dry finish; you could use this instead of a sloe gin, either sipped neat or served in a Long Peddlar.

Score

8.6

Nose
The rich, spicy Shiraz grape character hits you immediately, with cranberries and Christmassy spices.

Palate
Velvety soft. Powdered ginger, cinnamon, allspice and liquorice combine with a juiciness from the grapes, kept in check with a tannic dryness.

Finish
Juicy Shiraz notes and cinnamon coat the mouth and fade slowly, leaving you wanting another sip.

Comments
Bold and juicy with clear Shiraz character. This could make a killer Negroni, or a lovely long serve with tonic and an orange garnish.

Score

8.7
