Nose
Beautiful aromas of citrus and a slightly biscuity maltiness that immediately puts one in mind of some zesty lemon shortbread.

Palate
A wonderful texture that fills the mouth – decadently viscous. The citrus character from the nose is strong, but quickly moves onto notes of verbena and chocolate.

Finish
A soft, warming glow, with fading citrus and coriander characteristics.

Comments
An exciting gin that’s packed full of flavour. While luxurious sipped neat, I’d also use this for a smashing Basil Smash.

8.9

Nose
A clear vegetal note, a mustiness like damp woodchips, and a zing of lemon peel. Herbal hints of bay and cilantro and a faint touch of juniper.

Palate
The herbal/vegetal note gets darker, almost smoky, and there’s a dark spice intensity that reveals itself. A hint of wood shavings, more lemon and resinous juniper.

Finish
Spice notes dry out the medium-length, slightly warm finish.

Comments
Moved from an intriguing nose into a pleasantly complex palate. Tonic may help to draw out the citrus notes.
