Nose
The nose has a pleasant hedgerow quality, with a mix of leafiness along with succulent berry fruit.

Palate
The fruitiness continues, but it is by no means sweet. Dry berry notes combine with a little blossom, before developing into some really rich, oily resinous notes.

Finish
The decadent start transitions into a more classic finish with green pine and a smooth earthiness.

Comments
An exceptional spirit that is delightfully nuanced. A fine example of the distillers’ craft.

9.4

Nose
Blackcurrants, redcurrants and cranberries, with a leafy touch and a sprinkling of ginger and cinnamon. It smells super juicy, with a nice juniper bottom note.

Palate
The juicy fruit morphs into juniper, coriander, warming spice – fennel seeds or cardamom – and a touch of sherbet lemon citrus. There’s a hint of the ABV but overall, it’s fairly smooth.

Finish
Fairly short with juniper and citrus hints.

Comments
A nice evolution of flavours. It wants a light, refreshing serve – perhaps with fresh lime and soda.

Score

8.6
