English distiller Sky Wave Gin has announced the launch of a new flavoured gin.
The Orange and Madagascan Vanilla Gin has been in development for a year by Sky Wave’s master distiller, Andrew Parsons.
It sees the brand’s Signature London Dry Gin steeped with fresh orange zest and segments, which are then crushed and their juices added to the gin along with vanilla.
Parsons said: “This gin hints at adventure in balmy, exotic places which we all yearn for but which have been unreachable for too long.”
Sky Wave Orange and Madagascan Vanilla Gin (40% ABV) will be on sale from this month, priced £35 for a 500ml bottle. As a limited-time introductory offer, all purchases of 500ml bottles will come with a complimentary engraved jigger.
Launched by Parsons and business partner Rachel Hicks in 2018, Sky Wave Gin is based at the Bicester heritage site in Oxfordshire. Its Signature London Dry Gin was named World’s Best Contemporary Style Gin at the 2020 World Gin Awards.
Hicks and Parsons co-authored a book on the art and science of distillation, Craft Gin Making, which was released earlier this year.
