Spice up your spritzes with new Pinkster Spritz drinks

Pinkster Spritz

Pinkster Gin is encouraging people to get spritzing this summer with its new lower-ABV Pinkster Spritz range.

The 24% ABV spirit drinks are made using raspberries left over from the production of its classic Pinkster pink gin. Launching with two flavours – Raspberry and Hibiscus, and Elderflower and Raspberry – the spirit drinks are designed as a great base for spritz cocktails.

Stephen Marsh, Pinkster’s managing director, said: “Pinkster Spritz is a mainstream alternative for spritz drinkers with discerning taste buds, looking for a naturally delicious light aperitif.

“With more and more people trying to lead healthier lifestyles and cutting back on alcohol, all consumer insight indicates that lower-ABV and lower-calorie drinks are totally on trend.

“It’s been some time in the making and as you’d expect from us, this is another authentically subtle drink that’s sustainably sound and made with natural ingredients, including our signature real raspberries grown minutes away from our rural Cambridgeshire HQ.”

Pinkster recommends serving the new drinks with soda water and a lime garnish for a lower-ABV take on a traditional spritz, which would use sparkling wine.

To keep drinkers up to speed, Pinkster is displaying calorie and unit health information on the back label of the spritz bottles, along with a QR code linking to further product details and suggested serves.

Marsh added: “With the UK emerging out of lockdown and easing into summer, we’re expecting a fresh, fizzy and fun spritz to be the drink of the season as friends reunite for alfresco get-togethers. Thanks to the lower abv this is guilt-free kicking back.”

Pinkster Spritz is available to buy from pinkstergin.com priced at £28 for a 70cl bottle.
